2018 Best Tactical Flashlight High Lumen
I’m just so excited about some of the flashlight releases for this year that I couldn’t wait. I also couldn’t pick just one best tactical with a high lumen count so I’m picking three. These three tactical flashlights are ultra powerful, ultra bright, and very practical. Let’s get started at looking at these tactical flashlights.
Klarus XT11X Ultra Bright Flashlight
The first flashlight I want to talk about is also the newest flashlight. Klarus just released the XT11X tactical flashlight and you can read my review for it. This flashlight is compact and still delivers 3200 lumens. All that power in a compact flashlight that fits in your hand and can be carried around – it’s incredible. It features a broader beam and has a maximum distance of 283 meters. So this light is going to illuminate the area around you like it’s daytime, but it’s not a thrower.
You can operate this LED flashlight with either the side switch or the dual tail switches. These switches function independently so you can choose which switch you want to use and when. The side switch features a one-touch low and a mode memory function while the dual tail switches feature a momentary on and a one-touch strobe or a one-touch low depending on what program you have the flashlight in and we’ll talk about that in a minute. So already you have quite a bit of versatility with how you want to use this flashlight.
Along with its 6 total outputs (4 brightness modes and 2 flashing modes), the XT11X features 2 programmable settings: the Tactical Setting and the Outdoor Setting. In the Tactical Setting, you have access to a one-touch strobe and a one-touch turbo using the dual tail switches. The dual tail switches will also only be able to access the turbo, high, and low brightness levels. You can still access all 4 brightness levels using the side switch though. In the Outdoor Setting, you have access to a one-touch turbo and a one-touch low using the dual tail switches. The dual tail switches and the side switch will be able to access all 4 brightness levels in this setting. The different settings make the XT11X an excellent LED flashlight whether you need it for tactical use, outdoor use, general use, or anything in between.
This tactical flashlight is also a USB rechargeable flashlight so you can charge it using any standard micro USB charging cable and USB port. This makes it extremely convenient to charge the battery wherever whenever. All in all, the Klarus XT11X has blown me away. It’s a fantastic ultra bright flashlight. Make sure to check out the Klarus XT11X.
Klarus G10 High Intensity Flashlight
The Klarus G10 is so compact and lightweight that it could be considered an everyday carry flashlight. Even with that compact size, this LED flashlight is able to deliver 1800 lumens making it an incredibly powerful flashlight. It also features a broader beam and has a maximum distance of 250 meters, so it’s going to light up the entire area around you.
What I love about the Klarus G10 is the user interface design. It has a side switch and a tail switch that operate independently from one another and each have their own special features that you can take advantage of. For example, while both switches have a one-touch turbo, the tail switch has a one-touch low and the side switch has a built-in memory function. It’s really easy to learn and it becomes second nature after just moments of using the LED flashlight. You have 4 brightness levels to cycle through, a strobe mode, and an SOS mode. Between all of these modes, you are set for any situation.
The G10 is one of the best rechargeable flashlights you’ll find. It features an Intelligent Charging System that will monitor the charging status, prevent the flashlight from overcharging, and limits the maximum charging current to 1A. You can also check out the charging/battery capacity indicator to get a good idea of the status of the battery. The G10 is an excellent flashlight to have around the house, to use as an outdoor flashlight, to use as an EDC light, and more. I highly recommend you check out the Klarus G10.
Fenix TK35 Ultimate Edition 2018 Tactical Flashlight
The last flashlight I want to talk about is the Fenix TK35UE 2018 Edition. This handheld flashlight delivers 3200 lumens and is the super multifunctional flashlight. It features a unique user interface and design. You have a toggle switch that allows you to switch between the Tactical, Outdoor, and Lockout modes. Then you have the tail switch that’s right next to it and allows you to operate the flashlight in each of these modes.
In the Tactical mode, it features a single output level so you’re going to be getting a turbo of 2000 lumens and if you hold the tail switch down you’ll enter a strobe mode. In the Outdoor Mode, you can select between the different brightness levels and access the strobe and SOS mode. And finally, you can switch the toggle to the Lockout mode which will prevent your flashlight from turning on.
This tactical flashlight requires two 18650 batteries and has a special battery holder for them. This battery holder is excellent because it’s USB rechargeable so you can plug a micro USB cord into the battery holder and charge both batteries at the same time. It also features a charging indicator on the battery holder and a battery capacity indicator on the toggle switch. So definitely check out the Fenix TK35UE 2018 Edition.
I’m sure I’ll be adding more to this list as the year continues, but I’m really excited to have shared these three best tactical flashlights with you today. Each of these LED tactical flashlights has something different to offer you so make sure to go through and see which one is your favorite.
