Surefire EB1 Backup Flashlight Killer feature:
The EB1 is packed with some really cool features which can give many high-end flash lights a run for their money. Although the Surefire EB1 is expensive, it has advanced components and amazing build quality. You are getting a premium LED flashlight for a premium price.
Truly High output flashlights of 200 Lumens
It is bright with perfectly designed optics! Lets be real, the most important feature of any flashlight has to be providing bright and steady light, right? Well, the EB1 packs in a decent amount of power in this department. It has a maximum output of 200 lumens. How bright is it you ask? Let me put it this way, it is bright enough to overwhelm anybody eyesight in pitch dark, so yes it is powerful! You can find tactical flashlights that are brighter, but in a lot of cases, 200 lumens can get the job done. Also, with a Total Internal Reflectance (TIR) lens, it produces a strong and intense beam of light with enough surround light for a decent peripheral vision as well.
Practical dual mode option. It is not every time that you are going to need a very bright beam of light of 200 lumens. The Surefire eb1 Backup Tactical LED Flashlight has you covered. The low intensity mode that produces an output of 5 lumens is ideal for doing things like reading maps and yet is not too bright to degrade your dark-adapted vision. Also, at the lower power settings, you get the maximum out of your battery. At the lower setting I was able to squeeze out around 40 hours of use on a single charge, which is pretty impressive.
Tactical Flashlight with momentary switch
Tactical Switch. I am a fan of the tactical switches over those click type ones. They are so handy and get the job done no matter what you plan to use the flashlight for. The tail cap push button, when pressed, switches to a momentary low power output. Pressing it further activates a momentary high output emission, just release the push button and the light switches off. I find it very practical and it is something that I always look for in a good tactical flashlight. If you want to activate a constant-on mode, just twist the end cap for low setting and further twist to activate the high setting.
Great design and awesome built quality. The Surefire EB1 Backup Dual Switch Output LED Flashlight is made from a very sturdy aerospace grade, hand-anodized aluminum which makes it is strong yet light. The smooth contours and finish make the EB1 very stylish as well. There is never a doubt on the quality of SureFire products and the EB1 lives up to, and at times exceeds the expectations. I have dropped it many times and there is not even a dent on the thing. Trust me, it is made to last. Same kind of high class quality available for the Surefire EB2 too.
The pocket clip on the light is designed for vertical carry beam up or down. This is handy depending on how you want to use the everyday carry clip. Many professionals have mentioned that they really like this light because of its small size. It is not as large as many other tactical flashlights and can be easily put in a pocket or bag.

Let us look at the technology of the Surefire LED Flashlight.

Superior Power and Optics: Thanks to the TIR lens, it produces a tight beam that reaches far and provides some dispersed beam light.
Multiple modes: The multiple modes of the EB1 along with the tactical switch make it versatile and suitable for any functional operation. Pocket clip and anti-roll face
Cap: The two way pocket clip permits the light to be carried either bagel up or down depending on your preference. The face cap prevents it from rolling away on light slopes.Batteries included: The unit comes equipped with 2 CR123A batteries, so it is ready to go out of the box!
Cons: Some people may find the price range a bit on the higher side but, it gives a good bang for the buck.
