Who is it for? This very well built tactical flashlight packs in a lot of power in a fairly small size. It performs under extreme conditions perfectly well. I tried it using in extreme cold, wet and windy conditions and it always performed to perfection. The EB1 is packed with some neat features which can give many high end flash lights a run for their money. You get a full loaded flashlight at the fraction of the price of the some of the more expensive ones.
Truly High output flashlights of 200 Lumens
It is bright with perfectly designed optics! Lets be real, the most important feature of any flashlight has to be providing bright and steady light, right? Well, the EB1 packs in a lot of power in this department. It has a maximum output of 200 lumens. How bright is it you ask? Let me put it this way, it is bright enough to overwhelm anybody eyesight in pitch dark, so yes it is powerful!Also, with a Total Internal Reflectance (TIR) lens, it produces a strong and intense beam of light with enough surround light for a decent peripheral vision as well.
Dual Mode Operation
Practical dual mode option. It is not every time that you are going to need a very bright beam of light of 200 lumen. The Surefire eb1 Backup Tactical LED Flashlight has you covered. The low intensity mode that produces an output of 5 lumens is ideal for doing things like reading maps and yet is not too bright to degrade your dark-adapted vision. Also, at the lower power settings, you get the maximum out of your battery. At the lower setting I was able to squeeze out around 40 hours of use on a single charge, impressive.
Tactical Flashlight with momentary switch
Tactical Switch. I am a fan of the tactical switches over those click type ones. They are so handy and get the job done no matter what you plan to use the flashlight for. The tail cap push button when pressed switches a momentary low power output. Pressing it further activates a momentary high output emission, just release the push button and the light switches off, I find it very practical. If you want to activate a constant-on mode, just twist the end cap for low setting and further twist to activate the high setting.

Surefire eb1 Backup Dual Switch Output LED Flashlight is made from a very sturdy aerospace grade, hand anodized aluminum which makes it is strong yet light.The smooth contours and finish make the EB1 very stylish as well. There is never a doubt on the quality of SureFire products and the EB1 lives up to, and at times exceeds the expectations. I have dropped it many times and there is not even a dent on the thing. Trust me, it is made to last. Same kind high class quality available for EB2 too.
